Coastal Brown Bears (Ursus Artos) fish for salmon in Silver Salmon Creek to put on enough fat to winter well.  This is called hyperphagia. Hyperphagia is the significant increase in feeding that is fueled by a biological need to put on fat prior to hibernation.
